The novel My Wyn vintage of Rosé, a unique expression from the heart.
This 2023 vintage is a medium-dry example of Rosé with just over 5 g/L of residual sugar. A combining of expressions from Chenin blanc, Viognier & Shiraz.
Free-run cuvées, collected by basket press, were individually barrel – fermented and matured in their own 228L aged French oak barrel for 19 – 21 months.
Vinified and blended through gravity flow. Bottled by hand, un-fined and unfiltered. Only 620 bottles were produced.

Similar components would have been used in the past for the My Wyn Amber and Robyn vintages. This is a novel idea of the My Wyn Rosé.
A free-run cuvée of Chenin blanc provides a base of acidity, making up 24% of the blend. A free-run cuvée of Viognier makes up 56%. The third and final component was a co-fermentation on the skins of later, ripe picks from the Viognier (13%) Shiraz (7%) rows. These grapes were cooled, crushed and then fermented on their skins for 2 weeks inside an open 500L oak vat. A free-run cuvée was collected by basket press and matured in a single 228L seasoned French oak barrel.
